A/M Partners is a boutique PR and strategic communications firm built by seasoned agency and in-house leaders. We work with clients across enterprise, AI, fintech, and deep tech, helping technical founders turn hard-to-explain products into stories that land with journalists, investors and customers. We're small by design and growing deliberately, and we're looking for someone who can run client relationships at the senior level.

The Role

This is a client-facing role. You'll own a portfolio of clients end to end, act as the strategic advisor those founders and executives call first, set the direction and execute campaigns. You'll also have a direct hand in how we grow as a firm.

What You'll Do

• Own senior client relationships end to end, acting as the primary strategic advisor to founders, CEOs and other executives.
• Set communications strategy for a portfolio of clients in enterprise software, AI, DevOps, and fintech.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant journalists, analysts, conference/award organizers and secure placements that move the needle for clients.
• Lead clients through high-stakes moments, including funding announcements, partnership moments, executive changes, and coach spokespeople in real time.
• Translate complex, technical products into narratives that make sense to journalists, investors and industry audiences.
• Write and sharpen the material that carries a client's voice: press releases, bylines, messaging frameworks, briefing documents and executive talking points.
• Spot new business opportunities and contribute directly to proposals and pitches.

What You Bring

• 8-12 years of experience in communications, PR or journalism, including several years managing senior client or executive relationships, in-house or at an agency.
• Deep experience in some combination of enterprise software, AI infrastructure, developer tools, fintech, cloud platforms or deep tech.
• Standing relationships with reporters and editors covering business and technology, and a track record of securing coverage without a warm introduction every time.
• Comfort advising C-suite and VP-level executives, including during moments where the stakes and the pressure are both high.
• An ability to set strategic direction and own execution at the same time. We are a lean team, and we are all "in the trenches".
• Strong writing you're proud to put in front of a client without three rounds of edits.
• A point of view on thought leadership and content strategy, not just a list of tactics.
• Comfort and excitement for building and using AI tools and contributing to a 'comms team of the future'.
